To Be or Not to Be Intimidated?
Looking Out for #1
Action! Nothing Happens Until Something Moves
A Special message from Robert Ringer …
I firmly believe that the United States is on the
wrong path — culturally, morally, and, above all, economically. In the late 1970s, I began predicting our enormous trade
imbalance, the demise of the dollar, high fuel prices, airline bankruptcies, a Middle East on the verge of Armageddon … and more.
To be sure, I wasn’t alone in these predictions.
A number of other free-market thinkers had the courage to speak out as well. But the corrupt media cleverly brushed aside
“hard-money” advocates as “kooks” and simply ignored those who preached the moral and economic soundness of Austrian economics.
But, in all honesty, I was wrong in one respect:
I believed that a total unhinging of the U.S. economy — and, as a result, a forced ending to our addiction to living beyond our
means — was just a few years away. Then along came (1) Ronald Reagan with his infectious optimism and (2) an explosion of
technology — particularly computer technology — that increased wealth production, pushed prices downward, and elevated wages.
Even more important, government poured countless
dollars (both paper and electronic) into the economy to help reinforce the illusion that people drowning in debt were somehow well
off. In the end, it was the extension of easy credit that served as the nuclear reactor that enriched the economic uranium used
for our financial meltdown.
Which brings us to 2008 and the worst collection
of presidential candidates in my lifetime. They are the equivalent of economic clowns. All are ignoring the real causes of our
demise and, incredibly, offering “solutions” that are guaranteed to make things worse.
They excel at shouting nonsensical phrases and
slogans such as “shared prosperity,” “real change,” and “Yes we can!” — while the mesmerized electorate wildly cheers them on as
though they had come up with a cure for AIDS. But, above all, the one thing all candidates have in common is that they are
unwilling to tell the American people the truth. However, to be fair, I have to say that I’m not certain all of them really know
the truth. After all, to a politician, truth is whatever gets you elected … or reelected.
The Economic Chickens are
Coming Home to Roost
It’s getting harder and harder for the government
to sugarcoat the truth, because the realities of our once semi-free-market economy are far more powerful than the lies and schemes
of politicians. Right now, rising oil and food prices are the most visible examples of this. But there are many others I could
name as well.
For example, the airline industry was never
intended to operate as a conglomeration of flying Greyhound Bus services. With the price of oil finally being forced to adhere to
market realities, I see only two possible scenarios for airlines:
(1) A government takeover (which is preferred by
those with a big-government mind-set) or (2) a dramatic increase in fares, which would force airlines back to their roots —
meaning a mode of travel to be used only by those who can actually afford to fly. In blunt terms, it would mean that the
backpack-and-sandals crowd would have to go back to traveling by bus.
Even though few people in America have the
slightest understanding of the underlying causes of our financial demise, there is no turning back. Actions have consequences, and
decades of politically inspired socialism cannot escape the effects of universal law. However, because there are so many factors
that come into play, I no longer try to predict the timing of events.
But with a reasonable amount of knowledge, an
understanding of universal law, and a bit of common sense, it’s not difficult to predict the final outcome. Actually, there are
two possible outcomes.
One is a deflationary depression, which in many
ways would be far worse than the Great Depression of the 1930s. The second (and more likely) scenario is runaway inflation, which
would render the U.S. dollar worthless. This is the path we are now on, and it is reflected in the rising prices we see.
Obviously, politicians favor the latter
“solution” because they are painfully aware that telling the public the truth is a sure path to defeat in the next election. But,
in all honesty, neither I nor anyone else can say with certainty precisely how all this will play out.
The only thing that is certain is that the next
president (and Congress) will raise taxes, increase the money supply, bail out failing industries (and maybe even homeowners who
cannot pay their mortgages), and increasingly clamp down on individual liberty. In other words, shades of the late seventies — but
far worse.
Succeeding in a World of Chaos
Because the above elements guarantee that the U.S. is in for some
catastrophic economic times, I've made the decision to present a three-hour teleseminar in which I will dissect and analyze my
three most important prosperity books. The first two of these books helped millions of people survive Jimmy Carter’s
near-destruction of our economy in the late 1970s, and it is my fervent desire to do the same for millions of readers today.
The chaotic financial years ahead bear no resemblance to the world you and I
grew up in. Which is why it is a virtual life-or-death matter that you adapt your thinking to the realities of today's new world.
Those who cling to outdated myths about job security, a quickly rebounding economy, and government as the great protector of the
people are destined to live out their lives in misery.

"Through the teachings and
writings of Robert Ringer I have managed to go from broke to a seven figure income. I continue to grow and prosper, and for that I

Right now — today — we are heading into
the perfect financial storm at breakneck speed, and neither the best investment advice nor the best understanding of economics
will be of much help to anyone interested in achieving a secure and successful future.
If you’ve read To Be or Not to Be
Intimidated?, Looking Out for #1, and/or Action!, you already know they are not books about economics or
investment advice. They are books about life — and how to handle the worst it has to offer. And that is precisely what my
teleseminar series —
Succeeding in a World of Chaos
— is about.
More to the point, what I will be teaching is knowledge and wisdom —
understanding human nature and human psychology … having a sound insight
into the way the world works … creating workable strategies … developing your ability to move quickly to take advantage of
opportunities … in short, my focus will be on entrepreneurial savvy.

The Catalyst for
My First Book
One of the reasons I rewrote Winning Through
Intimidation (retitled To Be or Not to Be Intimidated?) and Looking Out for #1 is that I knew it was only a
matter of time until the consequences of the government’s illegal, immoral, and irresponsible actions would be upon us. We are not
just in for tough times. We already are, and have long been, in an invisible depression, a depression that is becoming more
visible each day.
And what do politicians offer as solutions?
“Gas-tax holidays,” confiscation of oil company’s “excess profits” (instead of urging them to invest those profits in drilling for
our own plentiful oil), and more and more free goodies (e.g., “universal health care”). As I said, there is no turning back now.
People are addicted to the good-life aberration provided by our nanny state, and no politician has the nerve to tell them that the
well is now dry.
I could go on and on about the turmoil ahead, but
that’s a whole book. Right now, my main focus is the same as it was back in the seventies: During the worst of times, your
knowledge and wisdom are your most important assets. In other words, as the late Mark McCormack put it, what counts are the
very things they don’t teach at Harvard Business School. Or as Warren Buffet says, “The best investment you can make is in
yourself.”
So-called bad times always provide great
opportunities for wise, knowledgeable, action-oriented entrepreneurs. As a writer of books on psychology, philosophy, sociology,
and personal-development, I believe that my greatest asset is that I write from the vantage point of someone who has been in the
trenches and not only survived, but prospered — especially during bad economic times.
Whatever I’ve been able to accomplish has been
the result of adhering to my own philosophy — acting in accordance with the way the world works, understanding human nature and
human psychology, and consistently recognizing reality and using it to my benefit.
Success Tools that Never Go Out of Style
I’m proud of the fact that my books —
particularly To Be or Not to Be Intimidated?, Looking Out for #1, and Action! — have helped so many people
succeed in life. And, as I’ve said for decades, the principles, insights, and strategies I wrote about in those books never go out
of style.
In fact, I believe they are more relevant
today than every before, because human nature, psychology, philosophical insights into life, and universal laws remain
constant. These always have been, and always will be, the tools of trade for great achievers in all fields of endeavor. In other
words, savvy rules the day.
With the above in mind, I am going to
dissect, analyze, and expand on what I’ve written in my three bestselling personal-development books through a three-hour
teleseminar series —
Succeeding in a World of
Chaos — that I believe will be invaluable to you in
your quest to survive and prosper during the coming difficult years.

“What I like about Robert
Ringer's teachings is that his unique ideas and insights can be employed immediately. Every corporate executive, sales and
marketing person, small business owner, and entrepreneur can reap immediate benefits from his wisdom.”
Harvey Mackay

I again emphasize that my
Succeeding in a
World of Chaos teleseminar
series is not about economics or investment advice. It’s about common-sense principles that work during both the best of
times and the worst of times.
My objective is to make certain that you understand why mastering the basics (something failures
never seem to get around to) is the true path to unlimited personal growth, real motivation (as opposed to the phoney rah-rah
stuff), financial success, and high-level achievement in all areas of life — regardless of economic conditions.
Because of the accelerating destabilization of the U.S. economy, mastering
the entrepreneurial basics is a necessity for anyone serious about both surviving and prospering in the chaotic years ahead.
In other words, the quickest way to get from where you are now to where you
want to be in life is to invest your time and energy in increasing your knowledge and wisdom … or, simply put, learning as much as
possible about how the world works. Everyone is familiar with Roger Bacon’s most famous aphorism: Knowledge is power.
Alvin Toffler concurred with Bacon in his groundbreaking book Power Shift
when he said that the “highest quality” power is derived from knowledge, because knowledge is efficient. And that’s what
Succeeding in a World of Chaos is all about
— acquiring as much knowledge and wisdom as possible, because knowledge and wisdom give you the power to succeed during the worst
of times.
Or, in entrepreneurial terms, the person with the most savvy is the person
with the most power. Which is why I hope you will join me in my upcoming teleseminar covering the three books upon which I have
built my success — To Be
or Not to Be Intimidated?, Looking Out for #1, and
Action!
